CoQ10 / Ubiquinol / Mitochondrial Antioxidant
A fat-soluble quinone essential for mitochondrial ATP production. Levels in skin decline with age and UV exposure. Topically reduces UV-induced oxidative stress, inhibits MMP production, and measurably reduces wrinkles in clinical trials. Orally one of the most studied longevity supplements — supporting cardiovascular, mitochondrial function and energy. Ubiquinol (reduced form) has superior oral bioavailability.
This concentration sits at or below the 1% line — that's expected and effective for this ingredient. Below the 1% line isn't automatically fairy-dusting; some ingredients genuinely work at low doses.
Topical 0.01–0.3% in serums or eye creams, AM and/or PM. Oral ubiquinol 100–200mg/day with a fat-containing meal. Especially important over 40 or on statins (which deplete CoQ10).
